EVENTS
The NZESA hosts two events each year, the annual fish fry and Homecoming. Each event generates profits that go directly to funding the scholarships that we award each May. A more detailed description of the events are below. For the most up to date information, please visit our Facebook page at the link above for more details.
Annual Fish Fry

The NZESA annual fish fry is the first Sunday of June each year. The event is put on by volunteers. The fish is typically donated while the remaining supplies are purchased. There is no set cost per plate, but we ask that each person donate what they feel is fair. The profits from each fish fry go directly to funding scholarships for the seniors the following year.
Homecoming

Homecoming typically falls on the Friday and Saturday before Thanksgiving each year. It consists of several events which include the NZESA BBQ and Business Meeting, parade, little Mr. and Miss competition, Booster Club silent and live auctions, Homecoming basketball games, and Ex-Student's Basketball Game.
The NZESA sends out a newsletter to ex-students and members of the community each year providing information on when these events will occur and any special information about registration. This information is also available through the school or our Facebook page. If you would like to sign up for this newsletter, please go to the Contact page and send us your address or email.
NZESA hosts the BBQ, Business Meeting, Little Mr. and Miss competition, and parade. We charge small amounts for each of these events to help offset the cost of hosting them. Additionally, any profit that an event generates goes directly to funding scholarships for the graduating seniors.
